Nothing equals experiencing Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, or the surrounding towns and villages from the air, especially at sunrise of sunset. If you have never done this, consider taking a scenic flight during your visit to the area. Flights begin right next to Route 3 at the Hancock County - Bar Harbor Airport in Trenton, Maine just before crossing over to Mount Desert Island. The airport is a short drive from Bar Harbor. Flights often can be custom designed for you and are quite affordable. Make sure to bring your camera to capture photos of a lighthouse, Cadillac Mountain, Somes Sound, and much more. Your friends and family will be amazed!
